What is involved in an Energy Audit?
When performing home energy audits our assessors will carry out a survey of the property by measuring the external elements of the property including all window, door opens and what type of glazing is present. After these are measured we take note of:
A similar procedure is carried out for commercials with slight differences in the information we are looking for.
All the recorded information is then entered into the relevant software and once completed a detailed report is then produced and provided to the client.
- What the building is constructed from to help determine the best insulation methods for the building fabric e.g. walls, floors, attics, windows & doors
- How the building is heated and controlled and what improvements can be made,
- The ventilation in the building, determining if it is sufficient and giving best advice.
